一、用途與暫存處理
外掛只在 https://readnow.kobo.com/ 改善捲動、選字、劃線／筆記、排版配色與使用者主動發起的裝置端翻譯。為完成操作，會在記憶體處理捲動量、閱讀位置、方向／空白鍵狀態、選取文字及位置、支援的既有註記與筆記輸入。不記錄一般鍵盤輸入、閱讀時段或瀏覽歷史。書籍文字、筆記內容與譯文不存入外掛儲存空間，也不傳給開發者伺服器。

二、Kobo 註記服務
單純選字不會建立註記。選擇劃線色、儲存／修改筆記、改色或刪除時，外掛使用目前登入帳號的 Kobo 原有服務；Kobo 會接收完成操作所需的選字、位置、顏色、筆記及識別碼。失敗操作可在頁面記憶體暫存待重試資料，重用相同識別碼。本說明不是「書籍內容完全不會傳出頁面」的宣稱。Kobo 另依自身政策管理帳號、書籍與進度：https://authorize.kobo.com/terms/privacypolicy 。外掛不取得帳號密碼，也不自行管理帳號登入。

三、本機偏好與每本書識別碼
紙材強度與「紙紋隨文字移動」開關屬於本機外觀偏好。移動紙紋時，只在頁面記憶體讀取閱讀層的平移座標並更新背景，不建立位移歷史，也不把座標傳給開發者。紙材圖片隨安裝包提供，不需外部圖片服務。
chrome.storage.local 儲存捲動設定、選字修復、介面及翻譯語言、註記操作偏好、工具列位置、配色／深淺／紙紋、排版及字型選擇。每書設定以目前 Kobo 網址中的固定書籍識別碼建立本機索引；識別碼不等於書籍全文。新書預設與舊設定遷移標記也存於本機。喜愛電腦字型在此瀏覽器設定檔的各本書共用，實際字型／排版則各書獨立。不建立閱讀歷史紀錄，不使用 chrome.storage.sync，也不會自動同步其他電腦。

四、電腦字型與匯入檔案
讀取電腦字型需瀏覽器支援 Local Font Access API，並可能詢問授權。讀取的清單只保留在頁面記憶體；僅持久保存你選用或收藏的字型名稱資料（family、fullName、PostScript 名稱），不保存完整電腦字型清單。讀取清單功能不把電腦字型檔匯入資料庫，渲染時使用 local() 參照。
你主動匯入 TTF／OTF／WOFF／WOFF2（單檔最多20 MB）時，字型位元資料、檔名、格式及依內容產生的識別碼存入外掛本機 IndexedDB，各書設定保存參照。為了顯示字型，封裝程式會透過外掛訊息與 DOM 事件，把必要字型資料及匯入的字型位元資料交到 Kobo 網頁 MAIN 執行環境，再註冊到既有閱讀器。網站執行環境可存取交付給它渲染的資料。外掛沒有上傳字型到開發者或字型託管伺服器的功能，也不主動把字型檔與排版偏好送到 Kobo 註記端點。

五、保存與移除
設定與字型會保留，直到你變更、瀏覽器清除外掛資料，或解除安裝後由瀏覽器移除本機資料。取消收藏只移除捷徑，不刪除電腦已安裝字型。「此書移除字型」是解除這本書的字型使用，匯入位元資料可能仍保留在本機字型庫供其他書使用。還原書籍排版不會清除所有其他偏好或字型庫；重設捲動只重設捲動偏好。解除安裝不會刪除已存在 Kobo 的註記，請在 Kobo 管理。本機儲存不是備份服務，清除資料或空間限制可能造成資料遺失。

六、剪貼簿
只有按下複製，才會依 Kobo 的複製限制把選字寫入剪貼簿，最多600個 Unicode 字元。不讀取剪貼簿、不記錄複製歷史。作業系統或其他軟體的剪貼簿同步依該產品設定處理。

七、裝置端翻譯
只有按下翻譯，才會把選字交給瀏覽器內建 Translator API；自動辨識使用 LanguageDetector。原文與譯文只在頁面記憶體及浮動框處理，不存翻譯歷史、不切換雲端服務，每次最多5,000個 Unicode 字元。關閉或改選文字會清除顯示並忽略過期結果。外掛不把文字送到開發者、外部字典或雲端翻譯端點。
首次使用可能需由瀏覽器下載或準備語言模型；模型傳遞與瀏覽器本身處理依其供應者政策。外掛不把選字放入模型下載網址。翻譯不會自動建立／同步 Kobo 註記，支援程度依瀏覽器、裝置與語言而異。

八、權限與網站執行
宣告的外掛權限只有 storage，內容腳本只符合 https://readnow.kobo.com/*。不要求所有網站、cookies、瀏覽歷史、分頁管理、clipboardRead／clipboardWrite 或原生程式通訊權限。本機字型授權是瀏覽器頁面 API 的另一個提示；複製透過使用者操作呼叫瀏覽器 API。
封裝的 MAIN 介接程式參照 Kobo 該頁已載入的同來源模組，以使用原有閱讀及註記服務；此環境不能使用外掛 API。另一個外掛環境管理偏好與字型資料庫。必要設定、字型名稱及匯入字型位元資料會跨環境交付渲染；外掛 worker 的字型訊息不攜帶書籍、筆記或譯文。網站環境的程式可觀察交付其中的資料。

九、開發者接收與資料用途
沒有開發者後端、廣告、分析追蹤或遠端遙測。開發者不透過本外掛接收或出售書籍、帳號、筆記、選字、電腦字型清單、匯入字型、瀏覽紀錄或使用統計。資料只用於你要求的閱讀功能，不用於廣告、信用評估或其他用途；處理旨在符合 Chrome Web Store User Data Policy 與 Limited Use。Google 與 Kobo 的服務另依各自政策。支援信件是你主動提供的資料，請勿寄密碼、整本書或敏感檔案。

1. Purpose and temporary processing
The extension improves reading on https://readnow.kobo.com/: scrolling, text selection, highlights/notes, typography, themes and user-initiated on-device translation. It processes scroll amounts, reading positions, arrow/Space states, selected text and text positions, supported existing annotations and note-editor input in memory for the requested functions. It does not record general typing, reading sessions or browsing history. Book text, note text and translation results are not saved in extension storage or sent to a developer server.

2. Kobo annotations
Selecting text alone saves no annotation. When you choose a highlight color, save/edit a note, change a color or delete a highlight, the extension uses Kobo's existing services for your signed-in account. Kobo receives the selected text, positions, colors, notes and necessary identifiers for those requested operations. A failed operation may retain its pending payload in page memory for retry with the same identity. This is not a claim that content never leaves the page: requested annotations are sent to Kobo. Kobo also independently manages accounts, books and reading progress under its own policy: https://authorize.kobo.com/terms/privacypolicy . The extension does not receive your account password or independently manage account authentication.

3. Local preferences and per-book identifiers
Paper strength and the move-paper-with-text toggle are local appearance preferences. To move the paper, the controller reads the reader layer’s translation in page memory and updates the background. It creates no movement-history log and sends no coordinates to the developer. Paper images are bundled; no external image service is used.
chrome.storage.local stores scrolling controls, selection repair, interface/translation languages, annotation UI choices, toolbar alignment, palette/mode/texture, typography and font selections. Per-book settings use the stable book identifier from the current Kobo URL as a local storage key; a book identifier is not the book's text. New-book defaults and migration bookkeeping are also local. Favorite installed-font names are shared across books within this browser profile; each book keeps its own selected font/layout. No reading-history log is created, and chrome.storage.sync is not used. These records do not automatically sync to another computer.

4. Installed fonts and imported font files
Listing computer fonts uses the browser's Local Font Access API when available and may request your permission. The resulting list is kept in page memory. Only selected and starred font metadata (family, full name and PostScript name) is persisted, not the whole installed-font inventory. Installed font files are not imported into the extension database by the font-list feature; font rendering uses local() references.
When you explicitly import a TTF/OTF/WOFF/WOFF2 file (up to 20 MB), its bytes, filename, format and a content-derived identifier are stored in the extension's local IndexedDB. Per-book preferences reference that local font. To display it, packaged code passes the necessary font metadata and font bytes through extension messaging and a DOM event to Kobo's MAIN webpage environment, then registers the font with the existing reader. That website execution environment can access data supplied to it for rendering. The extension does not implement a font upload to a developer or font-hosting server. Font files and preferences are not intentionally sent to Kobo's annotation endpoint.

5. Retention and removal
Settings and imported fonts persist until changed, the browser clears the extension's data, or the extension is uninstalled and its local data removed by the browser. Removing a favorite only removes the shortcut; it does not delete a font installed on your computer. Removing a font from one book disconnects that book's font setting; imported bytes may remain in the local library for other books. Restoring a book's layout does not erase its other stored preferences or the font library. Resetting scroll settings only resets scrolling preferences. Removing the extension does not delete annotations already saved to Kobo; manage them in Kobo. Local storage is not a backup service and browser storage limits or clearing can remove data.

6. Clipboard
Only pressing Copy writes selected text to the clipboard, subject to Kobo's copy restrictions and a maximum of 600 Unicode characters. The extension never reads the clipboard or keeps copy history. Operating-system or third-party clipboard synchronization is controlled by those products.

7. On-device translation
Only pressing Translate passes the selected text to the browser's built-in Translator API; optional detection uses LanguageDetector. Source text and results remain in page memory and the floating result panel, with no saved translation history or cloud fallback. Requests are capped at 5,000 Unicode characters. Closing/changing the selection clears the displayed result and stale results are discarded. The extension does not send text to the developer, an external dictionary or a cloud translation endpoint.
The browser may download or prepare language models on first use; model delivery and browser operations are governed by its provider's policies. The extension does not insert selected text into model-download URLs. Translation does not automatically save or synchronize an annotation. Browser/device/language support varies.

8. Permissions and website execution
The only declared extension permission is storage, and content scripts match only https://readnow.kobo.com/*. It does not request broad website access, cookies, browsing history, tab management, clipboardRead/clipboardWrite or native messaging. Local font access is a separate browser webpage API permission when prompted. Copy uses the browser clipboard API on a user action.
Packaged MAIN-world adapters reference the same-origin Kobo module already loaded by that page to access its existing reader/annotation services. They have no extension APIs. The separate extension environment manages local preferences and the font database. Necessary settings, font metadata and imported font bytes cross the environment boundary to render the book; the extension worker's font messages do not carry book text, annotations or translations. Scripts running in the website context can observe data made available there.

9. Developer access and use
There is no developer backend, advertising, analytics or remote telemetry. The developer does not receive or sell your books, account, notes, selected text, font inventory, imported fonts, browsing history or usage statistics through this extension. Data is used only for requested reading functions, not advertising, credit assessment or unrelated purposes. Handling is intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Google and Kobo independently apply their own policies to their services. Support emails are information you choose to share; avoid sending credentials, complete books or sensitive files.

1. 目的と一時処理
https://readnow.kobo.com/ 上でスクロール、文字選択、ハイライト／メモ、組版・配色、利用者が開始する端末内翻訳を改善します。必要な移動量、読書位置、矢印／スペースの状態、選択文字と位置、対応する既存注釈、メモ入力は機能のためにメモリー内で処理します。一般のキー入力、読書時間帯、閲覧履歴は記録しません。本の本文、メモ本文、翻訳結果は拡張機能の保存領域や開発者サーバーには保存・送信しません。

2. Kobo の注釈サービス
文字選択だけでは注釈を保存しません。色の選択、メモの保存・編集、色の変更、削除を要求すると、ログイン中の Kobo の既存サービスを使用します。Kobo は必要な選択文字、位置、色、メモ、識別子を受け取ります。失敗時の再試行用データをページのメモリーに保持し、同じ識別子を再使用することがあります。「内容がページ外に一切送信されない」という意味ではありません。Kobo は独自のポリシーに従ってアカウント、本、読書進捗も管理します：https://authorize.kobo.com/terms/privacypolicy 。拡張機能はパスワードを取得せず、ログイン管理を独自に行いません。

3. ローカル設定と本の識別子
紙の強さと「文字と一緒にスクロール」の切り替えは、ローカルの外観設定です。紙面の移動には読書レイヤーの移動座標をページのメモリー内で参照し、背景を更新します。移動履歴は作らず、開発者へ座標を送りません。紙材画像はパッケージ内にあり、外部画像サービスを使いません。
chrome.storage.local にスクロール、選択修復、画面／翻訳言語、注釈操作、ツールバー配置、配色・モード・テクスチャ、組版、フォントの設定を保存します。本別のキーには現在の Kobo URL の固定識別子を使用します。識別子は本文ではありません。新しい本の初期設定と移行用の印もローカルに保存します。お気に入りフォント名はこのプロファイルの本の間で共有し、選択フォントと組版は本別です。読書履歴は作成せず、chrome.storage.sync を使用しません。別のパソコンには自動同期しません。

4. パソコンのフォントと読み込みファイル
一覧表示には対応ブラウザーの Local Font Access API を使用し、許可を求める場合があります。一覧はページのメモリー内に保持し、選択またはお気に入りにしたフォントの family、fullName、PostScript 名だけを保存します。全フォント一覧は保存しません。一覧機能でフォントファイルをデータベースに取り込むことはなく、表示には local() 参照を使います。
TTF／OTF／WOFF／WOFF2（最大20 MB）を明示的に読み込むと、バイト列、ファイル名、形式、内容から生成した識別子を拡張機能のローカル IndexedDB に保存します。本別設定はそのフォントを参照します。表示のため、パッケージ内コードは必要なフォント情報と読み込んだバイト列を拡張機能メッセージおよび DOM イベント経由で Kobo ページの MAIN 実行環境に渡し、既存リーダーに登録します。そのサイト実行環境は、描画用に渡されたデータへアクセスできます。開発者やフォント配信サーバーへのアップロード機能はなく、注釈エンドポイントへフォントや組版設定を意図的に送ることもありません。

5. 保持と削除
設定・読み込みフォントは、変更、ブラウザーによる拡張機能データの消去、またはアンインストールに伴うブラウザーのローカルデータ削除まで保持します。お気に入り解除はショートカットだけを外し、パソコンのフォントは削除しません。本からフォントを解除しても、他の本が使えるようローカルライブラリーにバイト列が残る場合があります。組版の復元は他の設定やライブラリーを消去しません。スクロールのリセットもその設定だけが対象です。Kobo に保存済みの注釈はアンインストールで削除されず、Kobo 側で管理します。ローカル保存はバックアップではなく、消去や容量制限によって失われる可能性があります。

6. クリップボード
コピーを押した場合だけ、Kobo の制限に従い最大600 Unicode文字をクリップボードへ書き込みます。読み取りやコピー履歴の保存は行いません。OSや他社製品の同期は各製品の設定によります。

7. 端末内翻訳
翻訳を押すと、選択文字をブラウザー内蔵 Translator API に渡します。自動判定は LanguageDetector を使います。原文・結果はページのメモリーとフローティング表示だけで処理し、履歴は保存せず、クラウドへの代替送信もしません。1回最大5,000 Unicode文字。閉じる／選択変更で表示を消し、古い非同期結果は無視します。開発者、外部辞書、クラウド翻訳エンドポイントへ文字を送りません。
初回にブラウザー管理の言語モデルを取得・準備する場合があり、その配信とブラウザー自身の処理は提供元のポリシーに従います。モデル取得URLに選択文字は含めません。翻訳で注釈が自動保存・同期されることはありません。対応状況はブラウザー・端末・言語によります。

8. 権限とサイト環境
宣言権限は storage のみで、対象ページは https://readnow.kobo.com/* です。全サイト、Cookie、閲覧履歴、タブ管理、clipboardRead／clipboardWrite、ネイティブメッセージングは要求しません。ローカルフォントの許可は別のブラウザーページAPIの提示です。コピーは利用者の操作でブラウザーAPIを呼びます。
MAIN の接続コードは、Kobo ページが読み込んだ同一オリジンのモジュールを参照して既存の読書・注釈サービスを使い、拡張機能APIにはアクセスしません。別の拡張機能環境で設定とフォントDBを管理します。必要な設定、フォント名、読み込んだフォントのバイト列は描画のため環境間を移動します。フォントworkerのメッセージには本文、注釈、翻訳は含みません。サイト内コードはその環境へ渡されたデータを参照できます。

9. 開発者への提供と用途
開発者サーバー、広告、解析追跡、遠隔テレメトリーはありません。本、アカウント、メモ、選択文字、全フォント一覧、読み込みフォント、閲覧履歴、利用統計を本拡張機能経由で開発者が受信・販売しません。要求された読書機能のためだけに使用し、広告、信用評価、無関係の目的には使いません。Chrome Web Store User Data Policy と Limited Use 要件への適合を意図しています。Google と Kobo はそれぞれのサービスに独自のポリシーを適用します。サポートメールは任意の提供情報です。パスワード、本全体、機密ファイルは送らないでください。
